These cufflinks incorporate a very old symbol from Celtic history, the Trinity symbol. This symbol was so popular that it was later adopted by Christians and can be seen in the Book of Kells that dates back to the 8th century. It was significantly a representation of the number three. The Celts among other things used this symbol to represent the three phases of their lunar goddess.
